Shelba Jean Scarbrough, a resident of Dothan, died Sunday, July 31, 2016 at Flowers Hospital. She was 79.

 

Funeral services for Mrs. Scarbrough will be held at 2 PM Wednesday, August 3, 2016 in Clearman Chapel at Southern Heritage with Rev. Coley M. Holloway officiating. Burial will follow in Gardens of Memory cemetery. The family will receive friends from 1 PM until 1:45 PM prior to the service at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the; Wiregrass Humane Society, PO Box 1045, Dothan, AL 36302 or Liberty Baptist Church, 477 Liberty Road, Pansey, AL 36370.

 

Mrs. Scarbrough was born October 3, 1936 in Houston County, Alabama to the late Woodrow Wilson and Mary Oleta Etheredge Ingram. She was family oriented and enjoyed spending time with her children and grandchildren in whatever they were involved in. Mrs. Scarbrough was a faithful member of Liberty Baptist Church.

 

Mrs. Scarbrough is preceded in death by her husband, Herb Scarbrough; son, Ricky Scarbrough; three brothers, Gareth, Manley and Ronnie Ingram.

 

Survivors include two sons; Craig and Ginger Scarbrough, Scott and Ann Kathryn Scarbrough; three grandchildren, Merrill, River and Finn; two sisters, Gwen Hopper (Vernon), Gerry Womack (Bobby); brother, Terry Ingram.
