Mrs. Wambles was born on November 18, 1950 in Thomasville, Georgia to Robert Thomas and Mary Magdalene Tyler Brinson.  She graduated from Lake Wales High School in Lake Wales, FL.  Mrs. Wambles was employed in retail sales at Dillards, Walmart and Sam’s.  She was of Christian faith.

Shirley Wambles was a popular fashionista, sharing her beliefs and opinions unapologetically with anyone she felt needed to hear them.  She wasn’t always liked by everyone but frankly, not everyone mattered.  Those who did held an unconditional place in her heart.

Shirley was known as a veteran’s wife; "HON" to him for more than 50 years. She was an undeniably proud mother who loved her seven children unconditionally. She was "Mamaw" to 23 grandchildren & 3 greats who gave her the most joy in life. She was a loving sister, friend and most importantly a DAUGHTER of the King of Kings!

Mrs. Wambles was preceeded in death by her parents and a brother Larry Brinson.

Survivors include her husband of 49 years James Harold Wambles, two sons James C Wambles and wife Cynthia of Dothan and Christopher Wambles and wife Jessica  of Ashford; 5 daughters Angela Polson and husband Bill of Edmond, OK, Cara Irven of Valrico, FL, Dara Wambles of Tennessee, Crystal Stacey and husband Toby of Dothan and Erin Moore and husband Jerry of Dothan; two brothers Robert Thomas Brinson, Jr. and wife Heidi and Ernest Thomas Brinson and wife Betsy of Arkansas, 23 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren.

Glover Funeral Home of Dothan has been entrusted with the arrangements.  (334) 699-3888.  Please sign the guestbook on line at www.gloverfuneral.com.
