Mrs. Willene Owens Teate, age 74, a resident of Cottonwood passed away Sunday August 13, 2017 at SAMC.

Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday August 16, 2017 at Glover Funeral Home Chapel with Reverend Billy Rich officiating.  Burial will follow at Gardens of Memory Cemetery (Highway 431 North) with Kendall Glover directing.

The family will be receiving friends at Glover Funeral Home from 9:00 a.m. until 9:45 a.m. on Wednesday August 16, 2017 prior to the services.  At other times the family will be at the home of the son and daughter-in-law, Roger and Abby Teate, 109 Oldbarn Lane, Dothan, AL. 

Mrs. Teate was born on August 30, 1942 in Coffee County, AL to the late J.D. and Vinney Owens.  She worked in retail sales as a bridal consultant at Belk’s and The Aesthete store in Northside Mall.  She was a member of Memphis Baptist Church.

Survivors include her husband of 56 years Jim Teate of Cottonwood; one son Roger (Abby) Teate of Dothan; one daughter Susie Teate of Cottonwood; a granddaughter Ashley Teate of Panama City Beach, FL.  Mrs. Teate is also survived by a brother in Enterprise and a sister in Arkansas.
