Mrs. Wynette Loyless Thomas of Dothan, passed away, Sunday, June 3, 2018 at Westside Terrace following an extended illness. She was 90.

Graveside services will be held  2:00 p.m. Thursday, June 7, 2018 at Memory Hill Cemetery with Dr. James B. Sanders III officiating and Kendall Glover directing.

In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to Covenant Hospice,1512 W. Main St., Dothan, AL, 36301, Alzheimers Resource Center, 1314 Westgate Parkway, Dothan, AL, 36303 or the First United Methodist Church, “In Christ Name Fund”, 1380 W. Main St, Dothan, AL, 36301.

Mrs. Thomas was born on March 20, 1928 in Blakely, Georgia the daughter of Julian Loyless and Freddie Mae Loyless Whitcomb. She was a graduate of Early County High School and Riley Business College.  Mrs. Thomas retired after 35 years of service as office manager with Dothan Pediatrics.  She was a member of First United Methodist Church of Dothan.

She was preceded in death by her husband, C. L. “Pet” Thomas in 1989,  her parents and 3 sisters.

Survivors include: a daughter, Karen Etheredge (Steve) of Dothan; 2 grandchildren, Allyson Dozier (Allen) of Auburn, AL and  Stephen Etheredge (Katherine) of Dothan, AL; 3 great grandchildren, Mary McKinnon and Mac Dozier and T Etheredge; a sister-in-law, Rosa Thomas of Dothan; numerous nieces and nephews including a very special niece, Jean Dagostin of Dothan; special neighbors, Jim, Mary Lou and Leigh Bradford.  

The family would like to express special thanks to Westside Terrace “Mulberry Lane” nurses and CNA’s for the exceptional care given to Mrs. Thomas. A special thank you also to Covenant Care Hospice for their loving care.
