Ms. Doris Hughes Williamson, age 73, passed away on May 21, 2017 in Chipley, FL after an extended illness.

Memorial services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Friday June 2, 2017 at Glover Funeral Home Chapel with Billy Jean Dickerson officiating.  Visitation will begin at 1:00 p.m., Friday June 2, 2017.

Ms. Williamson was born November 23, 1943 in Houston County, AL to the late Alvie and Bertie Mae Blackmon Hughes.   She was employed as a seamstress at Wex Tex in Ashford and later managed the Dollar General.  Ms. Williamson was of Holiness faith.

Ms. Williamson was preceded in death by her parents and her husband Eugene Williamson.

Survivors include:  two sons, Sonnie (Pam) Jackson of Pansey, AL, and Jackie (Paggy) Jackson of Cottonwood, AL; one step-son Edward Jackson of Dothan, AL; two step-daughters, Judy Hall, Florala, AL, and Imogene Maier, Cowarts, AL; one sister Inez Rhodes of Ashford, AL; two grandchildren H.B. Jackson and C .J. Jackson.

Glover Funeral Home of Dothan has been entrusted with the arrangements.
