Ms. Gladys Christine Patch Tackett, age 90, a resident of Dothan, AL. (formerly of Madison, Alabama), died early Thursday March 30, 2017 at Wesley Place following an extended illness.
Graveside services will be 2 p.m. EDT. Tuesday April 4, 2017 at the West View Cemetery in Augusta, Georgia with Mr. Jason Keel officiating and Nick Keel will be leading with music and song. Kendall Glover of Glover Funeral Home will be directing.
Flowers will be accepted or memorial contributions may be made to the United Methodist Children’s Home, 500 S. Columbia Drive, Decatur, GA, 30030 or may be made through any United Methodist Church.
Ms. Tackett was born on January 9, 1927 in Augusta, Georgia the daughter of Walter B. Patch and Susie Kate Black Patch. She was retired as a retail clerk with Sears and she moved to Dothan in 2013 from Madison, Alabama. Ms. Tackett was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Dothan.
She was preceded in death by her parents; 2 sons, Walter Edwin Tackett and William Daniel Tackett; a grandson, Scott Tackett; a granddaughter, Carrie Tackett and a great granddaughter, Hope Keel; 6 brothers & 3 sisters.
Survivors include: daughter, Mary Kate Keel (Eddy), Dothan, AL; son, John Thomas Tackett (Cathy), Madison, AL; 8 grandchildren; 9 great-grandchildren.
