Judy Catrett Sheridan, of Dothan and a resident of Miramar Beach, Florida, passed away peacefully in her sleep, Wednesday July 11, 2018 at Extendicare. She was 70.


Memorial services for Judy will be held at 11 AM Saturday, July 28, 2018 in Clearman Chapel at Southern Heritage Funeral Home in Dothan, AL, with the Reverend Hosea Parker officiating.  The family will receive friends immediately following the service at the funeral home.


Judy is preceded in death by her parents Felton C. Catrett & Irene Catrett Morris; siblings, Fox Catrett, Bobby Catrett, Jack L. Catrett, Henry Catrett, Betty Catrett Koontz and Cathy Spann.


Judy is survived by her siblings,  Ethel Simpler, Dothan and Shirley Catrett Robinson, Dothan; aunt, Louise Tomlin, Luverne, AL; sister in laws, Nelda Catrett, Dothan; and Charlotte Catrett, Pensacola FL; brother in law, Frank Koontz, Lillian, AL; nieces and nephews, Gail Catrett Murphy, Doug (Ann) Butler, Randy Butler, Bronson (Erica) Butler, Henry Catrett, Lisa Synol, Salean Wood, Teresa Brady (Haisten) Walker, Robert (Summer) Koontz, Amanda (Joe) Comer, Tim (Jenni) Koontz, Randy (Connie) Koontz, Ken (Ellie) Koontz; 25 great nieces and nephews and numerous much loved cousins.


Judy was a significant contributing member of the real estate community along the Emerald Coast of Florida.  First licensed in 2005, Judy participated in leadership in both the Emerald Coast Associations of Realtors® and its affiliate Women’s Council of REALTORS®.  She served as ECAR Board Treasurer, Chair of the Realtor Political Action Committee and numerous other activities vital to the success of the local Board of Realtors®.  She spent many volunteer hours working for the Women’s Council where she served as Treasurer, President-Elect and President.  Judy was also a member of the Residential Real Estate Council, holding the elite designation, Certified Residential Specialist since 2011.


Judy was a wonderful daughter, loving sister and aunt. Judy loved her family, her work and the friends that she worked with dearly. She will be greatly missed by all.
