Ms. Marcia Celeste Baxley, age 51, a resident of Dothan, died Sunday November 27, 2016 at the SAMC after an extended illness.

Memorial services will be held 11 a.m. Saturday December 3, 2016 at the Mt. Calvary Baptist Church (2376 Grady Garner Rd., Slocomb, AL.) with Reverend Phil Baxley officiating.

The family will be receiving friends at the church from 10 a.m. until 10:45 a.m. prior to services.  In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to The Harbor Church, 320 N. Foster Street, Dothan, AL. 36303.

Marcia was born on June 17, 1965 in Dothan the daughter of James David Baxley and Janie Margaret Powers Baxley.  She was a 1984 Graduate of Graceville High School; cosmetology degree from Chipola College and a medical assistant degree from Wallace College.  Marcia attended The Harbor Church in Dothan.

She was preceded in death by her mother.

Survivors include: daughter, Haley Danielle Baxley (Lee Roberts), Dothan; son, Russell Scott Powell (Ashley), Wicksburg; father, David Baxley, Fadette; 2 sisters, Cynthia Ann Franklin, Texas City, TX.; Janet Leigh Efurd (Ed), Dothan; 4 grandchildren, Lexi Pollard, Cayden Pollard, Wyatt Powell and Penelope Powell; niece, Tori Peay, 2 nephews, Albert Peay and Ben Efurd.
