Ms. Sue Brewer, 64, of Ozark, Alabama, passed away to her eternal home on Friday, March 16, 2018 at Flowers Hospital after a very courageous battle with cancer.

Memorial services will be held 2 pm Thursday March 22, 2018 in the Sunset Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Chris Woodall and Bro. Wayne Krist officiating. The family will receive friends 1-2 prior to the service. Flowers are being accepted or memorial donations may be made to the charity of your choice or to assist the family with expenses at https://paypal.me/sunshine316 to help.

She was preceded in death by her mother, Martha Shirley, and her father, Dayton Shirley, both of Enterprise, Alabama.

Survivors include her daughter, Katie Williams (Adam), her grandsons Collin and Cason Williams, all of Ozark; her sister, Mrs. Mary Jane Burgett (Bob) of Millbrook, Alabama; her brother John David Shirley (Tijo) Tallassee, Alabama; her niece, Lauren McMahan (Brandon) of Birmingham Alabama; and nephew, David Peters, Tokyo, Japan, along with special friends, Kathy Brewer and Louise Coursey.

Sue was a member of Pinckard Baptist Church. Pretty flowers made her smile, she enjoyed gardening in her spare time but most of all she loved helping others and always put others above herself. She loved being able to travel with her family. She shared a very precious bond with her daughter, Katie; Sue also loved being Nana to Collin and Cason, the three of them were her world.

When she wasn't planting flowers, she planted love, kindness, and generosity wherever she went and to everyone she met. To know Sue was to love her. We needed more time, she will be deeply missed by so many special friends and family members.

“Cherish every moment with those you love at every stage of your journey.” -Jack Layton
