Myrias “Dr. Mack” Womack, a resident of Cottonwood, died Wednesday, March 27, 2019 at Southeast Health Medical Center. He was 81.


 


Memorial services for Dr. Mack will be held at 2 PM Saturday, March 30, 2019 at Cottonwood First Baptist Church with Reverend Jimmy Bolin officiating. The family will receive friends immediately following the service at the church. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Cottonwood First Baptist Church, 12702 Cottonwood Rd, Cottonwood, AL 36320.


 


Dr. Mack was born September 5, 1937 in Houston County to the late Abner C. and Ethel Miller Womack. He was a graduate of Life Chiropractic College and practiced for many years in Columbus, Georgia. He moved back to his hometown of Cottonwood in 2004 and started Cottonwood Chiropractic Clinic. Dr. Mack was involved with Cottonwood Athletics and a member and deacon at Cottonwood First Baptist. He was a very generous man with his time and talents to the people and town of Cottonwood.


 


Dr. Mack is preceded in death by his parents; wife, Catherine Womack; two brothers, Harold and Bill Womack.


 


Survivors include his daughters, Angela Pickren, Katrina Morgan; granddaughters, Diawn Dupuy, Caitlin Johnson; great grandchildren, Catherine Dupuy, Reese Johnson and Liam Johnson; four brothers, Morris, Bernard, Shelby and Lynwood Womack.
