Noah Ronald Tate of Geneva passed away on Wednesday, October 18, 2017 at Wiregrass Medical Center in Geneva. He was 62 years old.

 Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m. Saturday, October 21, 2017 at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints Geneva Alabama with Wayne Lawhorn of the Branch Presidency of the Geneva Branch and Cy Wroten the President of the Elders Quorum conducting the service. Burial will follow in the Reedy Assembly of God Church with Warren Holloway Ward Funeral Home of Geneva directing. The family will receive friends at the church on Saturday beginning at 10:00 a.m.

 Mr. Tate was born to the late Edward Jimmie and Daisy Edna Mims Tate. Mr. Tate worked at Fleming Foods in Geneva for 28 years. After his time at Fleming Foods, he worked as an LPN, and also with Inland Gas Station where he made many friends. He was affectionately known as “The Gum Man” by all the kids at church.   

 In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by one grandson, Andrew Toole.

 He is survived by his wife of 41 years, Cathy Tate of Geneva; four children, Calvin Tate (Kathy) of Bonifay, FL, John Tate of Geneva, Tiffany Tate Woodham (Allen) of Geneva, and Joseph Tate (Kristina) of Falmouth, VA; 10 grandchildren; three brothers, Stanley Tate (Tisha), Stephen Tate (Gail) both of Westville, FL, and Donald Tate (Kim) of Ponce de Leon, FL.
