Obituary from Holman Funeral Home and Cremations – Ozark, AL


 


Mr. Homer R. Woodham, Jr., 88, of Ozark, died Friday morning, May 26, 2017, in Dale Medical Center.


Funeral services will be   10:00 A.M. Tuesday, May 30, 2017, in the Chapel of Holman Funeral Home and Cremations in Ozark with Pastor Greg Doss officiating.  Interment will follow in Westview Memorial Cemetery, Holman Funeral Home of Ozark directing.  The family will receive friends in the funeral home in Ozark Monday, May 29, 2017, from 5:00 P.M. until 7:00 P.M.


Mr. Woodham was born March 4, 1929 in Dale County to the late Homer R. Woodham, Sr. and Mallie Skipper Woodham.  He served in the United States Army National Guard and was assigned to Radcliff, Kentucky where he met and married his wife.  They resided in Radcliff for thirty-three years.  He owned and operated a barber shop business there and continued his business when they returned to Ozark until his retirement in 1985. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife of 57 years, Dorothy Louise “Dottie” Thompson Woodham; two sisters, Maxaline Goodson and Emogene Bartlett.


Survivors include three sons and daughters-in-law, Richard Gary and Karen Woodham of Elizabethtown, Kentucky, Doug and Susan Woodham of Hudson, Florida, Chris Todd and Anne Woodham of Ewell; one sister, Louise Digraziano of Ozark.  Six grandchildren, nine great grandchildren, several nieces and nephews also survive.
