Obituary from Holman Funeral Home and Cremations – Ozark, AL


 


Mrs. Amelia Jane Cannon Cummings, 50, a resident of Ozark, died Monday, July 10, 2017, at Southeast Alabama Medical Center following a brief illness.


Funeral services will be 3:00 P. M. Thursday, July 13, 2017, in the Chapel of Holman Funeral Home and Cremations in Ozark with Reverend Kenneth Hale officiating. Interment will follow in Westview Memorial Cemetery, Holman Funeral Home of Ozark directing. The family will receive friends at the funeral home in Ozark Thursday from 2:00 P.M until service time.


Amelia was born on July 12, 1966 in Ozark, the daughter of William R. Cannon and the late Virginia Dansby Cannon. She was a 1984 graduate of Carroll High School. She was an Alabama football Fan and loved her family very much. In addition to her mother, she was preceded in death by her grandparents Ralph and Grace Cannon, George and Minnie Dansby.


Survivors include one daughter and son-in-law, Mei-Hua Cummings Perry (Chris) of Trussville; one son and daughter-in-law, Nicholas Cummings  (Caitlyn) of Ozark; three grandchildren, Jordan and Alexa Reynolds and Skyler Parr; her father, William Ralph Cannon; one sister and brother-in-law, Debbi and Steve Casey; one brother and sister-in-law, Bill and Anitra Cannon; a special friend, Robert Frisbie; a special aunt, Evelyn Dansby Burke; four nephews and two nieces.
