Obituary from Holman Funeral Home and Cremations – Ozark, AL

 

Mrs. Donna Louise Willis Chancey, 96, of Ozark, died Saturday, October 29, 2016.

Funeral services will be 3:30 P. M. Tuesday, November 1, 2016, in the Chapel of Holman Funeral Home and Cremations in Ozark with Reverend Mike Robinson and Reverend Larry Lambert officiating.  Interment will follow in Pleasant Hill United Methodist Church Cemetery, Holman Funeral Home of Ozark directing.  The family will receive friends at the funeral home in Ozark Tuesday one hour prior to service time.

Mrs. Chancey was born December 8, 1919 in Ozark, Alabama to the late James Erastus Willis and Bertha Pascal Willis.   She was a life-long member of Pleasant Hill United Methodist Church where she was a Sunday School teacher.  Mrs. Chancey worked in the cafeteria of Mixon Elementary School and Thompkins Early Childhood Center until her retirement.  In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, A. G. Chancey; one daughter, Donna Richard; one granddaughter, Deborah Howell; one great grandson, Taylor Mitchell.

Survivors include two daughters and sons-in-law, Martha and Billy Miller, Shannon and Mike Gill all of Ozark; one son, A. J. “Buddy” Chancey of Ozark;  son-in-law, Thomas Richard of Ozark; eleven  grandchildren and nine great grandchildren

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Pleasant Hill United Methodist Church Cemetery Fund, C/O Casey Peterson, 2926 East Andrews Avenue, Ozark, Alabama  36360.
