Mrs. Elizabeth Jean “Jeannie” Stafford Bell, 65, of Ozark, died Monday, December 18, 2017, at her home.

A memorial service for Mrs. Bell will be held 2:00 P.M. Thursday, December 21, 2017, in the Chapel of Holman Funeral Home and Cremations in Ozark with Reverend Jonathan Brown officiating, Holman Funeral Home of Ozark directing. 

Mrs. Bell was born April 14, 1952 in Ozark, Alabama to the late Horace Jack Stafford and Emma Grace Bell Stafford. Mrs. Bell worked for years as an optician.   She was a natural caregiver who loved to help people, loved her grandchildren, and loved the beach.  She enjoyed sewing, embroidering, and smocking.  In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, John Earl Bell; and one brother, Steven Stafford.

Survivors include four daughters and one son-in-law, Emily and Andre Rochell of Centre, Alabama, April Stephens of McAllen, Texas, Elizabeth Gericke of Ozark, Alabama, and Sabrina Bell of McAllen, Texas; one sister and brother-in-law, Jackie and Bob Arledge of Centre, Alabama; two brothers and one sister-in-law, Mack Stafford of Ozark, Alabama, David and Becky Stafford of Ozark, Alabama.  Ten grandchildren, six great grandchildren, several nieces and nephews also survive.

Flowers will be accepted or memorials may be made to Skipperville Community Cemetery Fund, C/O Mrs. Faye Huey, 3489 County Road 50, Skipperville, Alabama  36374; or to the American Cancer Society, 3054 McGehee Road, Montgomery, Alabama 36111.
