Obituary from Holman Funeral Home and Cremations – Ozark, AL

 

Mrs. Joann Hartzog Smith Senn, 72, of Ariton, died Sunday morning, November 6, 2016, at the home of her daughter in Ozark.

Funeral services will be 2:00 P. M. Tuesday, November 8, 2016, from Center Ridge Baptist Church with Reverend Justin Bradley and Reverend Mike Medley officiating.  Interment will follow in the church cemetery, Holman Funeral Home and Cremations of Ozark directing.  The family will receive friends at the funeral home Monday evening from 5:00 P. M. until 7:00 P. M.

Mrs. Senn was born June 29, 1944 in Dale County, Alabama to the late Oscar Ardis Hartzog and Norma Jessie Sasser Hartzog.    She worked for many years at Mack’s Café in Ozark. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, David Harold Senn; and her daughter, Debra Sapp.

Survivors include one daughter, Barbara Senn, one step-daughter and son-in-law, Rita and Steve Langston; three sons and two daughters-in-law, Robert and Sandra Smith, Charlie Smith, Marvin and Kim Smith; two step-sons and daughters-in-law, Mark and Cindy Senn, Jerry and Nicole Senn; twenty-eight grandchildren, Robert L. Smith, Michael Smith, Robert Smith, Jr., Priscilla Lawrence, Windy Smith, Tiffany Smith, Kyle Smith, Ashley Senn, Jennifer Sapp, James Sapp, Shirley Sapp, Brandi Sanders, Jessica Smith, Spencer  Smith, Hilary Henderson, Alexus Senn Bradley, Allyson Senn, Jarrett Senn, Jaxon Senn, Amelia Langston, Abby Langston, Christopher Thompson, Markel Senn, Jamison Senn, Danielle Harris, Nisey Hernandez, Rainey Woodard, and Gracie Tarver; one brother, Kenneth Hartzog. Nineteen great-grandchildren, several nieces and nephews also survive.
