Mrs. Lucille Strickland Godwin, 95, died on August 3, 2016 in Ozark, Alabama, following several years of declining health. Mrs. Godwin, formerly of Mars Hill, North Carolina.  She was preceded in death by her beloved husband of over 60 years, Dr. Joseph Godwin. She is survived by her son, Joseph and wife Kathleen, grandson Lee and wife Johanna, best friend and family member Dora Martin, and the many people whose lives she touched through the years. Memorial services for Mrs. Godwin will be private and held at a later date.
