Obituary from Holman Funeral Home and Cremations – Ozark, AL

 

Mrs. Mary Ellen Hagey Sawls, of Ozark, went to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ early Tuesday morning, May 9, 2017. She was 93.

Funeral services will be graveside 1:00 P. M. Saturday, May 13, 2017, in Woodlawn Memory Gardens with Pastor Dwayne Nicholson officiating.  Interment will follow, Holman Funeral Home and Cremations directing. 

Mrs. Sawls was born December 26, 1923 in Snyder, Oklahoma.  She will always be remembered as a person who demonstrated love and kindness to others.  She will be greatly missed by those who love her.  In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, LT Colonel Carl H. Sawls, Jr.

She is survived by sons, Charles Jarrett “Jerry” Sawls, Thomas Yale “Tom” Sawls and his wife, Tina T. Sawls; granddaughter, Christen Camille Sawls and her husband, Kenneth "Ken" Olson; several nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in her memory to the Ozark-Dale County Humane Society, P. O. Box 2502, Ozark, Alabama 36361; or to the Christian Ministry of your choice.
