Obituary from Holman Funeral Home and Cremations – Ozark, AL


 


Mrs. Peggy June Helms Hagler, 78, of Skipperville passed away at her home peacefully Friday, February 17, 2017.  She went to be with her Lord and Savior surrounded by her family.


Funeral services will be 2:00 P. M. Tuesday, February 21, 2017, at Concord Congregational Methodist Church in Ariton with Reverend Scott Moffitt officiating.  Interment will follow in Skipperville Community Cemetery, Holman Funeral Home and Cremations of Ozark directing. The family will receive friends Tuesday in the church one hour prior to service time.


Mrs. Hagler was born November 7, 1938, in Barbour County. She worked as secretary at G. W. Long School and Vivian B. Adams School until her retirement.  Mrs. Hagler was preceded in death by her parents, Archie Gordon Helms and Nita Levonia Fillingim Helms; her sisters, Joyce Skinner, Louise Belcher, and Kathryn Ezell.


Survivors include her husband of 57 years, Bennie Hagler of Skipperville;  one daughter, Dana June Hagler Jones (Randy) of Kingsport, Tennessee; one son, David Charles Hagler (Judy) of Skipperville; granddaughter, Bethany Jones of Kingsport; grandsons, Ben Jones of Kingsport. Brandon Hagler of Skipperville, and Nick Hagler (Haley) of Skipperville.


Flowers will be accepted or memorials may be made to Skipperville Cemetery Fund, C/O Mrs. Faye Huey, 3489 County Road 50, Ozark, Alabama  36360.
