Obituary from Holman Funeral Home and Cremations – Ozark, AL

 

Mrs. Sandra Aman Thomas, 70, of the Bertha Community of Skipperville, Alabama, died November 23, 2017.

Funeral services will be 2:00 P. M. Sunday, November 26, 2017, from New Hope Baptist Church with Reverend Judson Waldrop and Reverend Shane Traylor officiating.  Interment will follow in the church cemetery, Holman Funeral Home and Cremations of Ozark directing.  The family will receive friends at the funeral home in Ozark Saturday from 6:00 P. M. until 8:00 P. M. Serving as pallbearers will be Lamar Galloway, Orin Galloway, Andy Smith, John William Bell, Danny Enfinger, and Mike Blankenship.

Mrs. Thomas was born April 14, 1947 in Houston County, Alabama to the late Curtis Phillip Aman and Verna Lee Stuckey Aman.  She graduated from Carroll High School in 1965 and Wallace Community College.  She worked with West Point Pepperell in Abbeville until her retirement July 1, 1997.  She was a life-long member of New Hope Baptist Church. She and her husband enjoyed traveling in their campers, seeing the United States. Sandra loved her community of Bertha and her friends.

Survivors include her husband, Bobby R. Thomas of the Bertha Community; special cousins, Kenneth and Jeanette Smith, Debbie and David Thorne.  A host of friends also survive.

Flowers will be accepted or memorials may be made to the New Hope Baptist Church Cemetery Fund, C/O Mrs. Nancy Gast, 6349 County Road 67, Skipperville, Alabama  36374.
