Obituary from Holman Funeral Home and Cremations – Ozark, AL

Mrs. Sheila Diane Griggs Willoughby, of Ariton, went to Heaven Thursday morning, June 15, 2017, following a long battle with lung cancer. She was 62 years old.

A memorial service for Mrs. Willoughby will be held 10:00 A.M. Saturday, June 17, 2017, in the Chapel of Holman Funeral Home and Cremations in Ozark with Reverend Dave Walsh officiating.  In lieu of flowers, please make donations to the charitable organization of your choice.

Mrs. Willoughby was born April 6, 1955 in Fort Rucker, Alabama. She was a resident of Ariton, Alabama for twenty-two years.  Sheila was an amazing lady who loved her Lord.   She had a servant’s heart and a genuine love for others.  Although Sheila retired from the ABC Board in 2014, the work she truly loved most was her volunteer work at the Salvation Army.  Sheila loved to laugh, she loved to fish and she loved to “get the job done”.  Mrs. Willoughby was preceded in death by her husband of eighteen years, Bobby Joe Willoughby; and her parents, Archie O’Bryant Griggs and Patricia Ann Snell Griggs.

Survivors include two stepsons, Kelly and Michelle Willoughby of Ariton, Alabama, Paul and Michelle Willoughby of Lubbock, Texas; her stepmother, Daisy Lee Griggs of Ozark, Alabama; two sisters, Brenda and Kevin O’Brien of Ozark, Alabama, Sharon and Robert Berg of Colleyville, Texas; her sister-in-law, Mary and Bobby Cooper of Dothan, Alabama.  Four grandchildren, several nieces and nephews also survive.

Condolences may be expressed at www.HolmanFuneralHome.com
