Obituary from Holman Funeral Home and Cremations – Ozark, AL

 

Mrs. Tommie Carroll Henderson, 93, of Ozark, died Sunday, July 17, 2016, at her home surrounded by her family.

Funeral services will be 3:00 P. M. Tuesday, July 19, 2016, in the Chapel of Holman Funeral Home and Cremations in Ozark with Reverend Danny Henderson and Reverend Floyd Ingram officiating. Interment will follow in Woodlawn Memory Gardens, Holman Funeral Home of Ozark directing.  The family will receive friends at the funeral home in Ozark Tuesday from 1:30 P. M. until service time.

Mrs. Henderson was born July 19, 1922, in Clopton, Alabama, to the late Robert Dowling Carroll and Mary Callie Pitts Carroll.  She worked with Van Heusen Inc. in Ozark for over thirty-three years.  In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, James Atlas Henderson; and one daughter, Melzie Virginia Bridges.

Survivors include two daughters and sons-in-law, Kathy and Terry Carpenter of Ozark, Patricia and Fred McDaniel of Echo; ten grandchildren, sixteen great grandchildren, and nine great-great grandchildren.

Flowers will be accepted or memorial may be made to Community Hospice of Dale Medical Center, 126 Hospital Avenue, Ozark, Alabama  36360.

The family would like to extend a special thanks to Community Hospice for the loving care shown to their family and special care givers: Liz Hummel, Eva Williams, Bobbie Willoughby, and Annie Young.
