Pamela Ann Stepp, 67, a longtime resident of Dothan, passed away at her home on Wednesday, September 20, 2017, following an extended illness.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Monday, September 25, 2017 at the Sunset Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Allie Freeman officiating. Burial will follow in Sunset Memorial Park with Robert Byrd directing.

Pamela was born 11 March 1950 in Akron, Ohio, to Wendell and Winifred Stepp. When her father became plant manager at Ansell Manufacturing in Dothan in the 1960s, the Stepp family embraced their adopted city. Pamela became a vital part of her father's work with veterans as well as the downtown mural program and the much-praised chronicle Dothan: A Pictorial History.

A member of First United Methodist Church, Pamela loved horses and the American Southwest. She enjoyed sewing and making jewelry. Most of all, she was devoted to her parents and their efforts on behalf of American veterans.

Her parents Wendell and Winifred Stepp and her brother Michael Stepp preceded Pamela in death. She is survived by nieces and nephew Jeni, Michelle, and Bryce Jason.

The family expresses special thanks to South Care Specialty Services and Covenant Hospice.

Robert Byrd of Sunset Funeral Home, (334) 983-6604, is in charge of arrangements. Please call us or visit www.SunsetMemorialPark.com for more information.
