DOTHAN. . . Pearce Gaston Howell, a resident of Dothan, died Monday morning, October 30, 2017, in Wesley Place on Honeysuckle. He was 84.

            Graveside services will be held at 1:00 P.M. Thursday, November 2, 2017, in the Old Center United Methodist Church Cemetery, near Newville, with Reverend Leanne Pearce Reed officiating. Holman Headland Mortuary is in charge of arrangements. The family will receive friends from 11:30 A.M. until 12:30 P.M. Thursday at the mortuary.

            In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to a favorite charity.

            Mr. Howell was born in Henry County, near Newville, and was reared in Dothan where he lived all his adult lifetime. He was retired from Higgins Electric in Dothan after forty-five years employment. In later years Mr. Howell worked for Dixie Electric in Slocomb. He was preceded in death by his father, Sterling Howell, his mother, Vennie Pearce Howell, and a sister, Martha Howell.

            Surviving relatives include his first cousins, Miriam Prince, Margie Lee, and Jean Woodham (Felton), all of Dothan; and Richard Pearce (Carol), Birmingham; several other relatives.
