RAYMOND  EARL  BAILEY

RIVERDALE, GEORGIA. . .. Raymond Earl Bailey, a resident of Riverdale, Georgia, formerly of Henry County, died Saturday afternoon, November 3, 2018, at the home of a daughter in Newnan, Georgia.  He was 78,.

            Funeral services will be held at 1:00 P.M. (CST) Tuesday, November 6, 2018, in the Holman-Abbeville Mortuary Chapel with Reverend George Bryan officiating. Burial will follow in the Pleasant Grove Baptist Church Cemetery, near Abbeville. The family will receive friends from 12:00 Noon until 1:00 P.M. (CST) Tuesday at the mortuary in Abbeville.

            Flowes will be accepted or memorial contributions may be made to Sacred Journey Hospice, 60 Oak Hill Blvd., Suite 203, Newnan, GA 30265-2314.

            Earl Bailey was born and reared in Newville, Alabama, son of the late Robert Bailey and Mary Stinson Bailey. He was a graduate of Newville High School. Mr. Bailey served his country in the U. S. Navy in the late 1950’s. He retired from A T & T in communications and in earlier years, was employed by Western Union, both in the Atlanta area. He was a member of the Pleasant Grove Baptist Church. Mr Bailey was preceded in death by a sister, Ann Clark and a brother, Jimmy Bailey.

            Surviving relatives include his wife, Betty Robinson Bailey, Riverdale, GA; two daughters, Dana Cole, McDonough, GA; and Latonya Wisenbaker (Ken), Newnan, GA; five grandchildren, Madelyn Cole, Baylee Cole, Jordan Wisenbaker, Hannah Wisenbaker and Kenedi Wisenbaker; sisters-in-law, Catherine Carpenter, and Brenda Roberson (Randy), a brother-in-law, Richard Robinson; several nieces and nephews.
