HEADLAND. . .Raymond Jones, Sr., a resident of Headland, Alabama, died late Saturday afternoon, November 17, 2018, in a Dothan hospital. He was 70.

            Celebration of Life Services will be held at the family residence.

            Mr. Jones was born in St. Louis, Missouri, son of the late Raymon Jones and Mary E. Dillard Jones. He lived most of his adult lifetime in St. Louis before moving to Henry County, Alabama in 2011. He served his country in the U. S. Army during the Vietnam War.  Mr. Jones was a graduate of Roosevelt High School in St. Louis. He was of the Baptist faith and formerly served as a Boy Scout Leader. Mr. Jones was formerly employed as an electrician. He was preceded in death by a brother, Donald Jones.

            Surviving relatives include his wife, Shirley Metz Jones, Headland; two daughters, Brandy Richards, Headland; and Tiffany Friend (Marcus), Cowarts, AL; two sons, Raymond D. Jones, Jr. (Addie), Headland, and Joshua Metz; two sisters, Janet Finklein, St. Louis; and Debbie George, Puxico, MO; three grandchildren, Dean Richards, Annabelle Richards and Amber Metz.
