Mrs. Rhoda Elizabeth Mullis, 72, of Dothan, Alabama passed away on Thursday, September 7, 2017.

Visitation will take place at Sunset Memorial Park at 1700 Barrington Road, Midland City, AL on Sunday, September 10, 2017 at 10:00 am with graveside services following at 11:00 am with Robert E. Shaffer officiating and Robert Byrd directing.

Mrs. Mullis, a longtime resident of Dothan, was a homemaker and caregiver. she was an avid hunter of Native American artifacts. In her later years, she greatly enjoyed her two grandsons. Mrs. Mullis was born in Cuthbert, GA and predeceased by her parents, John William Matkin, Sr. and Gertrude Jackson Matkin, and brother, John William "Billy" Matkin, Jr.

She is survived by her husband of fifty-two years, Nathan Mullis; daughters, Crystal Kay (Michael) Aldrich of Statesboro, GA and Kathy Renee (Daniel) Longworth of Dothan, AL; grandsons, Nicholas L. Longworth, Dothan, AL and Paul A. Aldrich and wife, Kirstee Aldrich of Statesboro, GA and five great-grandchildren. She is also survived by her sister, Lillian G. Morgan and brothers Richard Matkin and Clyde Edward "Eddie" (Brenda) Matkin, as well as several nieces and nephews.
