WEBB, ALABAMA. . .Rhonda Marie Baucom, a resident of Webb, died early Monday morning, November 14, 2016, in a Dothan hospital. She was 61.

            Funeral services will be held at 2:00 P.M. Wednesday, November 16, 2016, in the Center Baptist Church, near Webb, with Dr. Charles Pierce officiating and a eulogy to be given by Ganarah McArdle. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Holman-Headland Mortuary & Cremations is in charge of arrangements. The family will receive friends from 4:30 until 7:00 P.M. Tuesday at the mortuary in Headland.

            Mrs. Baucom was a lifelong resident of the Center Community, near Webb, daughter of the late Raymond Kirkland and Blanche Forrester Kirkland. She was a graduate of the Houston County High School in Columbia. Mrs. Baucom was an active member of the Center Baptist Church where served as the church pianist for many years. She retired as a Pharmacy Technician from the Southeast Alabama Medical Center after thirty-three years employment.  Mrs. Baucom was preceded in death by two daughters, Stephanie Baucom and Natalie Renae Bratt.

            Surviving relatives include her husband, Ellis Elwood Baucom; a daughter, Brittany Thorne (Bo), all of Webb; son-in-law, Schuyler Bratt; three step-sons, Ellis Baucom, Jr., Richey Baucom (Carol), and Guy Baucom (Jennifer); a brother, Ernie Kirkland (Linda), Webb; five grandchildren, Madison Johnson, Vincent Johnson, Elizabeth Johnson, Makayla Thorne and B. J. Thorne; step-grandchildren, Haley Baucom, Taylor Baucom, Dalton Thorne, Stephanie Thorne, Savannah Thorne, Alexis Thorne, Chloe Thorne, Abigail Thorne and Elissa Baucom; nieces, Amanda Kirkland, Dana Kirkland and Shannon Laney; two great-nieces, Rebecca Laney and Rachel Laney.

            Serving as active pallbearers will be Phillip Atkinson, Kim Hughes, Bryan Laney, Larry Forrester, Craig Forrester and Matt McCraney.
