HEADLAND. . .Rita Gunter Hamm, a resident of Headland, died late Wednesday morning, September 13, 2017, in a Dothan hospital. She was 57.

            Memorial Services will be held at 2:00 P.M. Friday, September 15, 2017, in the Holman-Headland Mortuary Chapel with Reverend Mike Griggs officiating. The family will receive friends from 1:00 until 2:00 P.M. Friday in the mortuary chapel.

            In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to a favorite charity.

            Mrs. Hamm was born in Ozark and was a 1978 graduate of Carroll High School in Ozark. She also lived in the Echo Community before moving to Headland in 1990. She was preceded in death by her father, Hubert Gunter.

            Surviving relatives include her husband, Chuck Hamm; a daughter, Pennie Wright (Bo), Dothan; a son, Curran Hamm, Headland; her mother, Melba Faulk Gunter, Ozark; a sister, Gayle Smith (LaVern), Ozark; three brothers, Roger Gunter, Ozark; Marty Gunter, Ozark; and Jeff Gunter (Claudia), Auburn; two granddaughters, Raven and Starla; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Carroll and Ruth Hamm.
