Rita Williams of Elba passed away on Thursday, August 31, 2017 at home.  She was 72.

 

Memorialization will be by cremation, and no services are scheduled at this time.

 

Rita was born October 11, 1944, in Coffee County.  She was preceded in death by her parents, Zaff and Hilda Hudson Adkinson; son, Bobby Carmichael; daughter, Michelle Cheatwood; granddaughter, Amy Carmichael; great-granddaughter, Rebecca Morgan; sister, Ramona Adkinson Young.

 

Survivors include three sons: Keith Carmichael (Shirley) of Florida, Kenny Carmichael of Elba, Jason Williams (Belinda) of New Brockton; daughter, Debbie Carmichael of Enterprise; brother, Larry Adkinson of New Brockton; ten grandchildren; three great-grandchildren (and one on the way).

 

The family thanks Dr. Jordan and Kindred Hospice for their loving care.
