ROBERT  JOEY  RILEY

 NEWVILLE…Robert Joey Riley, a resident of Newville, Alabama, died Friday, January 20, 2017, in Shellman, Georgia. He was 56.          

             Graveside services will be held at 11:00 A.M. (CST) Monday, January 23, 2017, in the Pilgrim’s Rest Free Will Baptist Church Cemetery, 1208 County Road 57, North, Abbeville, Alabama.  Reverend George A. Bryan will be officiating.  Holman-Headland Mortuary & Cremations is in charge of arrangements. The family will receive friends from 2:00 until 3:30 P.M. (CST) Sunday at Holman-Headland Mortuary, 305 South Main Street, Headland, AL 36345.

            Joey Riley was born and reared in Cuthbert, Georgia and lived in Nashville, Tennessee before moving to the Mt. Pisgah community of Dale County, near Echo, in 2016. He was employed in residential construction. In earlier years, Joey worked as a stage hand for several different Nashville musicians. He was preceded in death by his father, Robert Riley and a brother, Bryan Riley.

            Surviving relatives include his mother, Carolyn Davis Wiggins, Newville; two sisters, Lee Riley, Guthrie, KY; and Penny Riley, Nashville, TN; three brothers, Derrell Riley, Dwayne Riley and Darren Riley, all of Eufaula; a special aunt, Johnnie Wynn, and a special uncle, James Davis, both of Georgetown, GA.
