Robert Lee Griffin, a resident of Dothan, Alabama passed away on Friday, November 17, 2017 at his home. He was 70.

Funeral services will be at 1 pm on Friday, November 24, 2017 in Sunset Funeral Home Chapel with Martha Curry officiating. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 12-1 pm on the day of the service.

Deacon Robert L. Griffin Sr., was born December 17, 1946 to the late Floyd and Marie Griffin of Barbour County. He received Christ at an early age and was a deacon at First Born Abundance of Faith Holiness Church for over 25 years.

Mr. Robert L. Griffin was preceded in death by his parents, Floyd and Marie Griffin, one daughter Tammy (Griffin) Porter, one granddaughter Gabrielle Griffin, one great-grandson Kaison Bryant, and two brothers Floyd and Charles Griffin.

Robert L. Griffin Sr leaves to cherish his memories a loving wife Ruby N. Griffin of 50 years; five children, Robert (Stephanie) Griffin, Tracey (Clarin) Porter, Kevin (Shauna) Griffin, and Eric (Tiffany) Griffin of Dothan, AL; three sisters, Josephine (James) Debose, Sarah (Graham) Debose of Dothan, AL, and Fannie Mae (Otis) Ash of Pinckard, AL; 24 grandchildren, 28 great-grandchildren; 5 brothers-in-laws, and 6 sisters-in-law.

I want to give a special thanks to those that went above and beyond to help: Shiann Jackson (niece), James A. Bigham (grandson), Janida Griffin (granddaughter), Jesse Griffin Jr. (nephew), and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
