ABBEVILLE…Robert Lloyd “Bobby” Young, a resident of Abbeville, died Tuesday morning, August 21, 2018, at his home. He was 55.

  Funeral services will be held at 2:00 P.M. Thursday, August 23, 2018, in the Holman-Abbeville Mortuary Chapel with Rev. Thomas D. Gamble officiating and eulogies to be given by friends. The family will receive friends and family from 1:00 until 2:00 P.M. on Thursday at the chapel.

  Bobby Young was born in Clewiston, Florida and reared in Moorehaven, Florida. He lived in Midland City before moving to Henry County in 2008. Bobby was employed as an automobile mechanic most of his adult lifetime. He was preceded in death by his father, William Robert Young.

  Surviving relatives include his wife, Saundra Mathis Young; two daughters, Bridgett Peacock (Jimmy), Kinsey; and Tiffany Lucier (Tim), Ashford; his mother, Annie Ruth “Sonnie” Young, Abbeville; a brother, Randy Robert Young, Cleveland, Tennessee; seven grandchildren, Clara Sasser, Olivia Sasser, Justin Sasser, Conner Peacock, Andrew Thomley, Tyler Lucier and Bruce Lucier; three aunts, Ellen Brooks (Ed), Johnie Wynn (Murphy), Carolyn Wiggins (Ron); a mother-in-law, Joy Mathis, Abbeville; a sister-in-law, Gina Brown, Taylor; a brother-in-law, Alex Mathis, Abbeville; and a niece, Danielle Huffman (Jason).
