ROBERT  MICHAEL  FORRESTER

COLUMBIA. . .Robert Michael “Frog” Forrester, a resident of Columbia, died Friday afternoon, April 13, 2018, while playing golf in Cowarts. He was 56.

            Funeral services will be held at 2:30 P.M. Monday, April 16, 2018, in the Center Baptist Church, near Webb, with Pastor Ruth Jones officiating. Graveside services, with military honors, will follow in the church cemetery. Holman-Headland Mortuary is in charge of arrangements. The family will receive friends from 1:30 until 2:30 P.M. Monday in the church sanctuary.

            Flowers will be accepted or memorial contributions may be made to Gateway Church, 1641 West State Highway 134, Headland, AL 36345.

            Mr. Forrester was born in Anchorage, Alaska, son of the late Bobby Ray Forrester and Elizabeth Frances Taylor Forrester. He was reared in various locations in the U. S. and Turkey while his father served in the United States Army. Mr. Forrester was an active member of Gateway Church where he served as the drummer on the praise and worship team. He served his country in the Army National Guard in the Ashford unit and retired as a Sergeant and tank commander. Mr. Forrester was an avid golfer and retired as a truck driver.

            Surviving relatives include a son, Silas Forrester (Jessica), a daughter, Ivy Elizabeth Maloy (Trey) and their daughter, Saylor Maloy, a sister, Debra Forrester, all of Columbia; several aunts, uncles and cousins.

            Serving as active pallbearers will be Tyler Hall, Cody Hall, Holden Nall, Rudy Goodwin, Logan McKnight and Cody Wade.
