Ronn Roberts, St. Michael’s Episcopal Church Organist, died Monday, May 7, 2018.  He was 71. 

Ronn moved to Ozark from Birmingham in 2000.  He worked various jobs including working for the Dollar store and Wal Mart until he retired.         

Ron was the son of the late Alvin Benjamin Roberts and Elizabeth Noble Roberts who lived in Tuskegee.  He received a Bachelor’s Degree in Library Science from Samford University in Birmingham.  He was a veteran of the United States Army and served in Korea.         

Surviving relatives include cousins David Earl Noble (Connie), Teri Robertson and Cindy Noble, and eight second cousins, along with St. Michael’s church family.         

A memorial service for Ronn will be held on Saturday, June 2 at 10 a.m. at St. Michael’s Episcopal Church. The Rev. Dr. Thomas Nixon will officiate along with The Rev. Sandra Mayer assisting.  Burial of Ronn’s ashes will follow in the church yard.  Following this will be a reception for all in the parish hall.         

 Instead of flowers memorials may be given to St. Michael’s Episcopal Church, The Ozark-Dale County Humane Society, P.O. Box 2502, Ozark, AL 36360, or the Ozark-Dale County Public Library, 416 James St., Ozark, AL 36360.
