WEBB…Roxie Moore Ellenburg, our angel, and a resident of Webb, went to be with her Lord, Wednesday, December 14, 2016, following an automobile accident. She left her mark on this world by all her love and laughter. She was 44.


            Funeral services will be held at 11:00 A.M. Saturday, December 17, 2016, in the Kinsey Baptist Church with Reverend Brad Hardy and Dr. Cecil M. Sanders, Jr. officiating. Burial will follow in Gardens of Memory. Holman-Headland Mortuary & Cremations is in charge of arrangements. The family will receive friends from 4:30 until 7:00 P.M. Friday in the sanctuary of the Kinsey Baptist Church. At other times, the family will be at the home of Roxie’s parents in Kinsey.


            Flowers will be accepted or memorial contributions may be made to Kinsey Baptist Church, 6745 Walden Drive, Kinsey, Alabama 36303.


            Roxie was born in Dothan and moved to Kinsey with her family as a child. She was a 1990 graduate of Houston County High School in Columbia. Upon her marriage to Scott, she moved to Webb in 1997. Roxie was an active member of the Kinsey Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her grandparents, W.B. and Mattie Lou Hagler, and Joe and Nervie Moore, her father-in-law, John Ellenburg, and several aunts and uncles.


            Surviving relatives include her devoted husband of nineteen years, Scott Ellenburg; her parents, Sam and Nell Hagler-Moore, Kinsey; a sister, Shanda McKissack (Eric), Dothan; a brother, Todd Moore (Wanda), Headland; mother-in-law, Jean Ellenburg, Dothan; a sister-in-law, Jelena Leger (Greg), Russellville, Arkansas; a brother-in-law, Chris Ellenburg, Napier Field; uncles, Virgle Hagler, Charles Hall, and Bill Doswell; nephews and nieces, whom she loved as her very own, Hunter and Lillyen McKissack, Savannah, Alexis, Caroline, and Taylor Leger, Jacey Ellenburg, and Wesley, Ben and Haley Searcy; a host of family and friends; and all of the children who have held a special place in her heart.


            Serving as active pallbearers will be Jeff Arnold, Chris Ellenburg, Charles Owens, Jared Anderson, Everett Mathis, Mike Jones, Tony Turner, Ray Hollis and Phillip Douglas. Serving as honorary pallbearers will be members of her Sunday school class.


            The family would like to express their heartfelt gratitude, and thank everyone for the outpouring of God’s love shown by family and friends.
