Mr. Royce Wayne Day of Florala, AL passed away on August 6, 2017 at the age of 62.

Funeral services will be held on Thursday, August 10, 2017 at 10:00 a.m. in the chapel of Warren Holloway Ward Funeral Home in Geneva with the Rev. Jack Day officiating. Burial will follow in the Earlytown Church of Christ Cemetery with Warren Holloway Ward Funeral Home of Geneva directing. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Wednesday, August 9, 2017 from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. Flowers will be accepted.

Mr. Day was born on June 19, 1955 in Phenix City, AL to the late O.P. Day and Ollie Faye Chandler. Wayne spent most of his life as a carpenter, working with all types of wood. He later owned and operated a bait and tackle shop for 20 years. He loved hunting, fishing, camping on the river, and spending time with family and friends.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his first wife, Debbie Ann Day, second wife, Mary E. Day, and step father, John J. Chandler.

He is survived by one son, Billy Wayne Day (Kassandra) of Bonifay, FL; two grandchildren, Makayla and Cielo Day of Bonifay, FL; one brother, Dwight Day (Barbara) of Laurel Hill, FL; niece and nephew, Carri and Ryan Day;  three step children, Shirley Tatum, Janice Hughey (Randy) and Dan Lucas (Mary); numerous step-grandchildren, aunts, uncles, and cousins.
