Ruby Peters Sullivan of Dothan passed away Tuesday, June 21, 2016. She was 99.

 

Funeral services will be held at 2 P.M.. Thursday, June 23, 2016 at Ward Wilson Funeral Home Chapel with Rev Wes Kelley officiating. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 1 to 2 P.M., Thursday, one hour prior to the service.

 

Mrs. Sullivan was born January 29, 1917 in Slocomb, AL to the late Williams and Bertha Peters.

 

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Felix Sullivan, an infant son, son and daughter-in-law Jerry and Carolyn Sullivan,; son-in-law Jim Klobucar, 3 brothers Henry, Frank, and Fletcher Peters, 2 sisters Eunice Forehand and Nellie Adams.

 

She lived her early life on a farm just outside Slocomb, AL. She raised her family at Napier Field and moved to Dothan after retiring from WexTex at Headland, AL in 1979.

She was a member of First United Methodist Church and enjoyed participating in activities for many years at Rose Hill Senior Center.

 

Survivors include daughters ,Joyce Klobucar of Cumming, GA; Barbara and Roger Durden of; grandchildren Donna Durden Walker (Steve), David Durden (Kelly), Jina Klobucar, Janet Klobucar Brown (Thomas), Melissa Sullivan Sanders (Manning), Cristie Sullivan, great-grandchildren Angel Sheffield Bowser (Rob), Sierra and Dallas Sheffield, Nicole Walker Dutton (Justin), Natalie and Robert Walker, Courtney Vann; great-great-grandson Brayden Dutton; sister Cary Davis.
