Ruth Hazle Bentley “Mawmaw”, of Ozark, passed away suddenly Sunday, June 19, 2016 at Flowers Hospital. She was 78.

 

Funeral services will be held 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, June 22, 2016 in the Earl Bankston Memorial Chapel of Fuqua-Bankston Funeral Home with Bro. Nathan Sims officiating. Burial will follow in Woodlawn Memorial Gardens with Fuqua-Bankston Funeral Home directing. The family will receive friends from 5-7 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.

Mrs. Bentley was born December 25, 1937 to Neph and Mattie Mae Bice. She was employed by White Knight in Ozark, AL and PrideCraft in Enterprise, AL. She also volunteered at the Newton Senior Center in Newton, AL.

 

She was preceded in death by her husbands, Troy Bentley and Ollian “Bay” Hazle.

 

Survivors include her three daughters, Tricia Echevarrias, Pam Lord (Pat) and Becky Johnson (Vernon); seven grandchildren, Jason Welch (Jennifer), Angie Hopper (Wendy), Cayla Johnson (Cole), Jeffrey Echevarrias (Logan), Patrick Lord (Carlie), Jessica Echevarrias (Eli), “Little” Vernon Johnson; and two great-grandchildren, Jalyn and Julyssa “Jules” Welch.
