ABBEVILLE. . .Sarah Arnold “Boogie” Sauls, a resident of Abbeville, died early Monday morning, September 11, 2017, at her home. She was 73.


            Funeral services will be held at 11:00 A.M. Friday, September 15, 2017, in the Holman-Abbeville Mortuary Chapel with Reverend Mickey Skinner officiating. Burial will follow in the Hickory Grove Free Will Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 10:00 until 11:00 A.M. Friday at the mortuary.


            Flowers will be accepted or memorial contributions may be made to Kindred Hospice, 2740 Headland Avenue, Dothan, AL 36303.


            Mrs. Sauls was born and reared in Hosford, Florida, daughter of the late Kinch Arnold and Della Rachel Ann Durden Arnold. She moved to Abbeville in 1962 where she was a member of the Hickory Grove Free Will Baptist Church. She loved her family, yard sales, collecting antiques and playing canasta. Mrs. Sauls was preceded in death by a sister, Thelma Sanders.


            Surviving relatives include her husband, Bobby Ray Sauls, Sr.; a daughter, Stephanie Sauls Kelley (Stan), Abbeville; a son, Bobby Ray Sauls, Jr., (Deborah), Eufaula; a sister, Elma Kent, Branford, FL; a brother, Eustus Arnold, Wewahitchka, FL; two grandchildren, Travis Kelley and Candace Sauls Riley (Brian); and a great-grandchild, Jackson Riley, on the way.


            Serving as active pallbearers will be Bobby Ray Sauls, Jr., Travis Kelley, Rick Hartsfield, Robert Garrett, Randy Pittman and Randall Sauls.
