Scott Thomas Pawlik, age 55, of Enterprise, AL, passed away Tuesday, May 16, 2017, at Medical Center Enterprise following a long and courageous battle with Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis (ALS) disease.


Visitation will be held at 12:00 p.m. on Friday, May 19, 2017, with the funeral to follow at 2:00 p.m. at Searcy Funeral Home and Crematory Chapel with Reverend Boyd Hartzog officiating. Burial will follow in Meadowlawn Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the ALS Therapy Development Institute, 300 Technology Square, Suite 400, Cambridge, MA 02139


Survivors include his wife, Ruth Teague Pawlik, two daughters, Brittany Pawlik Byal (Josh); Enterprise, Alabama, Brandi Pawlik Thoma (Jay), Level Plains, Alabama; four precious grandchildren: Holden Thomas Pawlik; Grayson James Byal; Hadley Marler Byal and Kallen Miller Thoma; his parents, Nancy Pawlik, and Eugene A. Pawlik (Annie); his mother-in-law, Judy Flowerree Teague, Enterprise, Alabama; brothers, Eugene A. Pawlik, Jr. (Lori), Manassas, Virginia; Kevin Pawlik (Ing), Birmingham, Alabama; Douglas Pawlik (Molly), and David Pawlik, both of Enterprise, Alabama; sister, Jennifer Jones (Steve), New Brockton, Alabama, as well as 16 nieces and nephews.


Scott was loved greatly and was an inspiration to his family and friends throughout his life. He was a beloved husband, father and YaYa and will be dearly missed.
