Shane Thomas Dagostin, 47, of Dothan, Alabama, passed away, peacefully, on Monday, January 15th, 2018. Visitation will be from 1:00PM-2:00PM , Saturday, January 20, 2018 at Ward-Wilson Funeral Home in Dothan, Alabama.  Celebration of life to follow at 2:00PM. Shane was born January 26th, 1970.  He was the son of Mike and Jean Dagostin.  Shane was a graduate of Northview High School in Dothan and went on to  become a Certified Registered Nurse First Assistant for more than two decades.  His passion for helping people and his yearn to put others first was as prevalent in his daily life as it was in his career.  He never met a stranger and was respected by everyone he met.  He was genuine, kindhearted, and a giving man, blessed with a natural ability to understand others and offer guidance and advice in any situation.  In his short forty-seven years, Shane Dagostin touched the lives of many people, and anyone who had the pleasure of knowing him would understand his wish: to celebrate his life.  Celebrate in pure, Shane Dagostin fashion.

Shane was preceded in death by his loving grandparents, Poppy (Shelby Thomas) and Mema (Eura Thomas).

Shane Dagostin is survived by his children, Garrett Dagostin (25) and Claire Dagostin (17), his sister Blaire(Andrew)McCurry and his brother, Josh,  his nieces, Maggie, Hensley and Ellian McCurry and nephew Quinn McCurry, his Uncle Lee (Mikell) Thomas and his Aunt, Libba(John) Owen and many other family and friends.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to St. Jude’s Childrens Hospital or to the Harbor Church, Dothan, Alabama or to a charity of your choice.

The family of Shane Thomas Dagostin wishes to extend our sincere thanks to Covenant Hospice of Dothan, Alabama.
