Shirley Frances Williams Leingang, age 80, passed March 30, 2017 at home with family and friends by her side.

A memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, April 5, 2017 at the Sunset Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Allie Freeman officiating. The family will receive friends from 1-2:00 p.m. prior to the service at the funeral home. Flowers are being accepted or memorial donations may be made to DaySpring Hospice 3160 W. Main Street, Suite 1, Dothan, AL 36305.

Shirley was born in Elba, Al and lived the early part of her life in Midland City, AL before moving to Dothan over 40 years ago. She was employed in Human Resources at Ft. Rucker for her entire career and was the Director of Human Resources for many years before her retirement.

Shirley was a member of United Methodist Church in Dothan, AL. Shirley is survived by her grandson, Taylor Scott of Dallas, TX, and her granddaughter, Shelley Scott, who resides in NY as well as several nieces and nephews.

The family would like to acknowledge and thank Tonya Rogers, her hospice nurse who showed great care for her, Osey Blue, her caregiver, who was very dear to her and her neighbors Melissa Merrill and Judy Lurie who were also very dear to her.
