WEBB, ALABAMA. . .Sonja Brackin Hand, a resident of Webb, died Friday night, March 2, 2018, in a Dothan hospital. She was 75.

            Graveside services will be held at 3:00 P.M. Monday, March 5, 2018, in the Webb Cemetery with her son, Reverend Quitman Hand, officiating. Holman-Headland Mortuary & Cremations is in charge of arrangements. The family will receive friends following the graveside services.

            In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Children’s Hospital, 501 St Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.

            Sonja Hand was born and reared Webb, daughter of the late Major Brackin and Rosa Lee Parker Brackin. She lived most of her lifetime Webb and was formerly employed by GE. Sonja later retired from Georgia Pacific. She was preceded in death by two children, Camelia Hand and Clyde Hand, Jr. and a sister, Ramona Johnson.

            Surviving relatives include two daughters, Teresa Cherry and Heather Hand, both of Webb; a son, Reverend Quitman Hand (Dana), Blacksburg, SC; a brother, Mathy Brackin, Atlanta; nine grandchildren, six great-grandchildren.
