Steve Williams, 41, passed away on Monday, June 11, 2018.  


Visitation with a memorial service will be Monday, June 18, 2018, from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. in the chapel of Sorrells Funeral Home & Crematory in Enterprise.  A Military Service with Honors will be Tuesday, June 19, 2018, at Fort Mitchell National Cemetery, Fort Mitchell, AL, at 11:00 a.m. 


Steve was born December 3, 1976 in Budingen, Germany.  He is survived by his parents Retired SFC Mark H. and Christa Williams; one brother, Retired SSG Mike H. Williams. 


He was an Eagle Scout of BSA Troop 50 on Fort Rucker, a graduate of Enterprise High School class of 1995 and a Master Mason with Carmichael Lodge #548.   


Steve joined the Army in 1998 as a 76S OH-58D Helicopter Crewman.  He was a member of 2/17 Calvary, 101’s Airborne Division at Fort Campbell, KY when they deployed for Operation Iraqi Freedom.  His military awards include:  Army Commendation Medal, Good Conduct Medal, National Defense Service Medal, Army Service Ribbon, Overseas Service Ribbon and Aircraft Crewman’s Badge as a Disabled Combat Veteran. 


When he returned to Enterprise, AL, he worked with Westar Contractor in Iraq as a Data Collector.  Upon his return from Iraq he worked with CO-BRO in Daleville, AL.  He then worked as an A/P Technical Inspector on Fort Rucker with AFS.
