HEADLAND. . .Sue Smith Hinson, a resident of Headland, died Wednesday morning, May 2, 2018, at her home. She was 63.

            Funeral services will be held at 4:00 P.M. Friday, May 4, 2018, in the Holman-Headland Mortuary Chapel with Reverend Norman C. Simmons officiating. Burial will follow in Gardens of Memory. The family will receive friends from 3:00 until 4:00 P.M. Friday at the mortuary.

            Flowers will be accepted or memorial contributions may be made to City of Headland Animal Rescue Mission (C.H.A.R.M.), P.O. Box 216, Headland, AL 36345.

            Sue Hinson was a lifelong resident of Headland, daughter of the late William Carlton “Shooter” Smith and Sallie V. Lingo Smith. She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Headland. Sue was preceded in death by a daughter-in-law, Amber Hinson.

            Surviving relatives include her husband, Stanley D. Hinson; two daughters, Candice Lawrence (Jack), and Jennifer Lawrence (Eric), all of Headland, and a son, Jim Hinson, all of Headland; a sister, Jolaine Irish (Dana), Ozark; and two brothers, Dewayne Smith (Linda), Valdosta, GA; and Larry Smith (Judy), Dothan; ten grandchildren, Tyler, Carlie, Zach, Zoey, Zane, Zeb, Zayden, and Zada Lawrence, Gracie and Gunner Hinson; sisters-in-law, Shirley Clower, Christine Armstrong and Gayle Parker (Jerry).
