SHORTERVILLE. . .Sylvia Fleming Overton, a resident of Shorterville, died Monday, January 23, 2017, at her home. She was 78.

            A private memorial service will be held at a later date at the graveside in the  Judson Baptist Church Cemetery.

            Ms. Overton was born and reared in Henry County, daughter of the late Saint Elmo Fleming and Inez Adams Fleming. She was preceded in death by a son Saint Perry Crumpton, and a brother, Maxwell Fleming.

            Surviving relatives include a daughter, Dewane’ Morris Seneca; two sons, Walter Crumpton and John David Crumpton (Aleisha), all of Eufaula; a sister, Sara Pelto, (Kenneth), Shorterville; two brothers, Robert Fleming (Olivia), Abbeville and John Fleming, Coleman, GA; eleven grandchildren, ten great-grandchildren.
