Mr. Terry Lee Simmons of Samson, AL passed away on Sunday, August 13, 2017. He was 59.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, August 16, 2017 at Piney Grove Baptist Church with Rev. Jack Chancey and Rev. Steve Wegmann officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery with Warren Holloway Ward Funeral Home of Geneva directing. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Tuesday, August 15, 2017 from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. The body will be placed in the church one hour prior to the service on Wednesday. Flowers will be accepted.

Mr. Simmons was born in Florala, AL on October 12, 1957 to W.J. “Dick” and Donnie Mae Strickland Simmons. Terry Lee loved Auburn Football, and western movies. He was a loving son, brother, and father.

He was preceded in death by his father, W.J. “Dick” Simmons; and one brother, John D. Simmons.

He is survived by two sons, Jamie Cole Simmons, and Cody Simmons both of Defuniak Springs, FL: mother, Donnie Mae Ellenburg of Geneva, AL; four sisters, Linda Owens (James T.) of Samson, AL, Ann Miller (Michael) of Samson, AL, Alice Owens of Geneva, AL, and Kim McKinney (Ronald) of Malvern, AL; and several nieces and nephews.

Serving as pallbearers will be: Tony Alford, Robert Pittman, Codie Miller, Dusty Preachers, Ronnie Mock, Roger Miller, Charles Justice, and Roger Dale Miller.
