DOTHAN….Thomas Lee Wood, a resident of Dothan, died Saturday evening, December 23, 2017 in Signature Healthcare of Northwest Florida in Graceville. He was 51.

            Funeral services will be held at 2:00 P.M. Friday, December 29, 2017, in the Holman-Headland Mortuary Chapel with Reverend Joey Hudspeth officiating. Burial will follow in Midland City Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 1:00 until 2:00 P.M. Friday at the mortuary.

            Mr. Wood was a native of Arcadia, Florida and lived most of his lifetime in Chancellor. He was preceded in death by his father, James Robert Wood, Sr.

            Surviving relatives include his mother, Emma Lou Dell Morrell Wood; a sister, Mary Lou Phillips; a brother, James Robert Wood, Jr., all of Dothan; five aunts, Nellie Bowman, Midland City; Annie Louise Peterman, Dothan; Betty J. Davis, Dothan; Sandra Mae Henderson, Newton and Sylvia B. Wood;  two uncles, Jack Morrell, Avon and James Ray Morrell, Dothan; a niece, Jessica Garcia; a nephew, Joseph William Vann;  a great niece, Sandra Garcia and great nephew, Fernando Garcia;  numerous cousins.
