Timothy “Tim” Paul Wilson of Dothan, Alabama passed away on Wednesday, September 13, 2017 in a local hospital. He was 53.


Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, September 19, 2017 at 2 pm in Sunset Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow in Sunset Memorial Park with Robert Byrd directing. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 5-7 pm on Monday. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Shriners Hospital for Children Tampa, In Memory of Tim P. Wilson. Tim was born in Dothan, Alabama on September 18, 1963 and lived there most of his life. He was a 1981 graduate of Dothan High School and was later employed at his father’s grocery store, Buster’s IGA. He graduated from Auburn University with a degree in Biology in 1990 and returned to work at Farley Nuclear Plant where he was employed for over thirty years. Tim enjoyed his work at the nuclear plant and spending time with Karen traveling and going to concerts.


Survivors include his wife, Karen Wilson; father, Buster Wilson; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Norman and Giulia Karaszewski; brother, “Danny” James Wilson; sister-in-law, Christina (Christopher) Mize; and several nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins.
